Pod Talent are super excited to partner up with a fast-growing women fashion and homeware/gifting retailer with 80+ stores around UK&I who are looking for a Senior Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Surrey.
In this role you will be joining a team of three and you will be responsible for overseeing day to day data and operations, so ensuring the smooth running of all freight from suppliers to distribution centre and make the product supply journey as smoothas possible.
This is a great opportunity for a logistics coordinator professional to join an amazing business with a great ecommerce growth during the lockdown who has most recently opened 2 more stores.
About the role:
As a Senior Shipping & Logistics Coordinator you will
- Investigate and plan the most appropriate route for shipment, taking into account cost, transit time and security
- Be responsible for the Import/Export operations and documentation set in line with evolving statutory guidelines
- Supervise the team when the line manager is absent
- Work with freight forwarding companies, shipping lines and haulage companies to achieve an efficient and effective service
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in order to maintain long lasting relationships
About you:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position within shipping/logistics
- Great analytical skills and Futura is a plus
- Retail or fashion background
- Strong analytical skills with great attention to details
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
