The role of Transport Planner in Smethwick will involve:

- Planning routes.
- Proactively organising back-loads.
- Regular communication with drivers.
- Updating and liaising with customers.
- Delivery tracking.
- Mentoring junior members of the team.
- Being proactive to solve problems.

**The Successful Applicant**:
The successful Transport Planner will have:

- Transport/route planning experience.
- Manual routing experience.
- Knowledge of back-loads and how to organise them.
- The ability to work on their own initiative.
- Good customer service skills.
- The ability to regularly communicate with drivers.
- Previous experience in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
