We are seeking a talented Events Assistant to join the in-house team in developing and delivering an annual programme of both virtual and physical events from conception to conclusion. Focusing on the successful delivery of the F1 in Schools STEM Challenge.
You will be delivering multiple events and exhibitions per year of varying sizes. The role involves, administration, customer service and event management. Initially this role will involve helping to put together a high-end event in London.
You will be required to travel in the UK and potentially overseas as well as being willing to work occasional flexible hours including weekends. A valid UK driving license is required.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Day-to-day office administration and customer service communications
- Co-ordination and administration of participant registration databases
- Assist with coordination of VIP’s and competition judging staff
- Assist with venue research and liaison
- Assist with development of written and digital marketing materials
- Assist with the sourcing and purchase of event supplies
- Assist with event contractor management and delivery expectations
- Preparation of equipment taken on site and ensuring it is fit for purpose
- Assist the team with social media management and brand identity
- Assist with the generation of event Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Population of event websites and apps
- Hands-on involvement in event set up, operations and de-rigs
- Assist the marketing team with the post-event evaluation
- Carry out duties in an appropriate manner and be a valuable representative of the company, its sponsors and partners
- Any other duties requested by the Project Managers to fulfil a successful event.
**PERSONAL SPECIFICATION**:
- Experience of Event Management (1-2 years desirable)
- Previous experience of a STEM outreach programme desirable
- Experience of Project Management desirable
- Excellent written skills and a confident communicator
- A problem solver who can adapt to change in an active and reactive way
- An organised, multi-tasker who works well in a high-pace job environment
- Very good attention to detail
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office a must, databases, CAD packages and event and project management solutions desirable)
- Experience of using social media platforms and tools
- Professional individual who takes great pride in their work
- A flexible personal style that can adapt to the needs of the organisation
**ROLE, SALARY AND BENEFITS**
- Full time, permanent, based in Brighouse West Yorkshire - Monday to Friday, 37 hours
- Competitive salary dependant on experience

- 26 Days Holiday & Bank Holidays

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
