Network Consultant (CCNP)
Network Consultant required on a permanent basis for an exciting Managed Service Provider who are very well established with an excellent reputation within the market. As a Network Consultant, you will primarily focus on pre-sales and project work, specificallyaround Network, Wireless and Security products. As a Network Consultant, you can expect the following remuneration package:

- Basic salary of up to £75,000
- Annual Bonus of up to 7.5%

As a Network Consultant, your day-to-day role will consist of:

- Providing technical pre-sales support, both remotely or on-site through workshops or presentations.
- Proposing realistic solutions to meet client requirements.
- Build strong working relationships with a range of key clients.
- Performing configuration, troubleshooting and administration duties.
- Creating high level and detailed infrastructure designs and solutions.
- Managing critical incidents, dealing with them accordingly and within agreed SLA’s.
- Log calls with third party vendors (such as Cisco or Checkpoint), escalating where necessary.
- Provide out of hours support via on call rota (One week in Five).
- Experience in designing and implementing end-to-end network solutions, across routing, switching, security, data centre and wireless.
- Knowledge of WAN and LAN solutions, including network virtualisation.
- Network Security knowledge, in particular, the design, configuration and maintenance of firewalls like Cisco ASA/FirePOWER, Cisco ISE. Having prior Cisco Umbrella or AMP experience is highly desirable but not essential.
- Prior experience or interest in SDN, SD-WAN, Hyper-Converged and Hybrid-Cloud Data Centre Solutions such as Cisco Viptela or ACI, as this is very much the direction the business is moving.
- Experience of creating HLD, LLD and technical documentation.
- Willingness to stay up to date with emerging technologies, investigate new solutions that could benefit the business and customers.
- In-depth knowledge of VLAN design and implementation.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of routing and switching, particularly across Cisco products.
- Prior knowledge of building WLC from scratch, doing site surveys and identifying access points. We mainly use Meraki.
- Configuration and deployment of Cisco virtual appliances and VMware vCentre networking.
