**Overview**

OPR are currently recruiting for a ACCA or ACA Chartered Accountant to be based in and around Guildford. Our client is an admirable accounting firm based in Guildford with over 40 years’ experience behind them, widely recognised for the accounting servicesthey have provided for individuals and businesses in the local area.

Our client provides a fantastic modern office and work environment with free parking. You will be working in a small, knitted team of chartered accountants and directors who take pride in the historic value of the company, with many opportunities to progress.OPR’s client is passionate about the development of the team, target driven and keen to welcome a qualified chartered accountant on board.

**Main Tasks**:

- Reporting to management on the findings of the audit and giving advice on various topics including bookkeeping, VAT, personal and corporate tax.
- Maintaining and preparing accounts and management information for clients and review clients’ systems and analyse risk
- Preparing annual financial statements and arrange submission to Companies House and HMRC
- Calculate clients’ personal and corporation tax liabilities, advise them of their liabilities and submit their tax returns to HMRC as well as any VAT compliance as well as communicating with HMRC on the client’s behalf
- Assisting junior colleagues and reviewing their work and attending client meetings
- Comply with expectations in line with ICAEW membership
- Complete CPD requirements as directed by ICAEW and Directors
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and deal with any financial irregularities as they arise
- Produce reports and recommendations following internal audits or public sector audits

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Degree Educated
- ACCA Qualified or ACA Qualified
- 2 year experience in a post qualification role ideal but not essential
