**About the role**
AAK are seeking to appoint a Process Technologist to join the Hull Production team, working Monday - Friday in a challenging but exciting role.
The role will be responsible for developing and implementing key process and product improvement activities, in controlling and managing the storing and governance around process and manufacturing product/process specifications.
**Main responsibilities will include**:
- Continuously look for product or process improvements with the operation, linked to business KPIs
- Ensure that all changes, designs and improvements are documented and filed in such a manner to ensure the required governance.
- To facilitate the dissemination and communication of work from concept to implementation and to inform relevant stakeholders of improvements where required
- Conduct post implementation validation, training, and follow-up to ensure that improvements are sustainable and scalable
- Assist in complaint investigation, corrective and preventive measure implementation in order to drive customer centricity and increase right first time
- Lead production trials and co-ordinate the process from an operational point of view
- Report writing and administration as required
**About you**
- Food Science/ Food Technology/ Food Engineering degree (or equiv) is essential
- Previous experience in food engineering/ food manufacturing is essential
- Knowledge of HACCP, process and food safety required
- Production knowledge and knowledge of fats and oils are desirable
- Six sigma knowledge desirable
- Complex creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills required
- Excellent critical thinking skills with good understanding of technical report writing
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamworking skills
- A high level of attention to detail required
- An understanding of, and ability to work with computer technology.
