Trainee Early Help Keyworker 0-19
Job Introduction
Working in the trainee keyworker role your placement would be in one of our six Keywork Teams across the county. As a modern trainee you will undertake training which will lead to a L4 Community Childcare practitioner apprentice standard and higher education certificate. You will receive regular mentoring and support from your supervisor who will oversee the direct work you are doing with families.
During the course of the face to face and online training you will be required to submit written evidence towards your portfolio. Once you have achieved your level 4 qualification, which is likely to take 18 months, you will then move on to the SS9 Qualified Keyworker pay grade.
This is an excellent opportunity for people without qualifications in a social care setting but who have some experience of working with children, young people and parents to join the Early Help Keywork Team and work towards becoming a qualified Keyworker.
If you do not have a level 2 or equivalent qualification in English and Maths you will be required to work towards achieving these qualifications as part of your apprenticeship.
Interviews will be scheduled within a week of the job advert closing and will be face to face or remotely via Microsoft Teams. We will try to accommodate any special requests for the interview slot if you are shortlisted for the role.
We offer a great package of professional training to develop you and to give you the ‘tools to do the job’. You will be part of a Team of Keyworkers and will receive good supervision from an experienced manager.
At East Sussex County Council, we also offer a diverse range of benefits to help and support you during your employment. More information can be found on our benefits page _-_ benefits page.
