**Quality Protects Children Ltd,** has been working for over 20 years within the North West and Sheffield areas, currently specialising in providing a range of services to support young people aged 10 - 18 who may present with complex needs.

Our homes provide safe, consistent and therapeutic environments based upon a cognitive behavioural approach. Our staff teams are considerably experienced and possess nationally accredited qualifications.

We are looking to recruit people with a background in working with and supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties to work within our homes for our Sheffield Home. The provision will provide accommodation for Looked-After Children young people with EBD and associated needs and difficulties.

Shifts are a mixture of 12 hour day or waking night shifts, with the occasional sleep in shift which can be 9am until 8pm or 8pm until 9.15am with a little variation across the sites. You will be contracted to 35 hours per week which equates to around 3 shifts per week and the potential for additional shifts is available.

Rotas are completed a minimum of 4 weeks in advance and are designed to meet the needs of the young people but we can be flexible to meet the needs of our team and understand the work/family balance.

Our children are cared for 365 days of the year within our homes and therefore we need to staff the homes at all times meaning you may be required to work days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

We want to give our young people the best experiences and do this by taking the young people away for extended periods of time to our caravans in Wales as well as other holiday destinations and would like our staff members to be able to share these experiences with them by supporting them on these trips.

**Requirements**:
We are looking to recruit individuals with:

- Experience of working with children, young people and families and who are willing to be part of this exciting service.
- Working knowledge of issues within children's social work including child care legislation.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with young people and professionals
- Evidence of continued professional development and a Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or working towards.
- A full driving licence is required for the post

The rate of pay is £11.50 - £12.50 per hour, dependent on experience.

Over 21yrs only for this role.
