**We have a fantastic opportunity for Associates to join our Bristol team.**:
Sedgwick Legal Services advises and handles disputes for major insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates, large corporates, utilities, and local authorities. We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our Legal team, focusing on property damage losses arising from major fires, floods, building collapse, escape of water, and subsidence.

This role is based in our Central Bristol office, with a hybrid working model. You’ll be part of a collaborative team also located in Cardiff and London.

In this role, you will manage a caseload of Higher value pre-litigated and litigated property damage claims. You’ll be responsible for gathering and evaluating evidence, contributing to case strategy, and developing your understanding of litigation tactics and property-related insurance law. Ensuring compliance with Sedgwick’s internal systems and procedures is essential, as is meeting performance targets for time recording and billing.

**The skills you will have when you apply**:
**What are we looking for?**
- Demonstrable experience as a solicitor, legal executive or equivalent
- Experience of litigation is essential
- Experience of insurance litigation or property damage claims is desirable
- Understanding of commercial insurance policies, the insurance market, reporting arrangements, reserving philosophies, and the relationship between brokers, underwriters/insurers and lawyers would be valuable
- Ability to work to deadlines / targets, to prioritise and manage a caseload and to work under pressure to deliver effective solutions
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- A commercial, solution-driven and client-focused approach
- Strong legal and analytical skills and an eye for detail
