With a long history in the local area, and being well-known for its chain of Pharmacies, Selles Medical is a growing and highly successful local Company that is now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Warehouse Operative.

**Warehouse Operative - up to £10.90 phr - full time - permanent - 35 hours per week**

In this varied and busy role, you will be responsible for ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and are packed to a high standard prior to shipment. Operatives are also responsible for booking goods-in as required and for working in a health and safety compliant way in the warehouse.

**About the role**
- Locating the correct goods as per customer orders using barcodes and lot numbers
- Using a forklift to move goods on delivery
- Inspecting goods for damage or faults before they are packed
- Using industrial packaging materials, such as cardboard boxes, wooden pallets and bubble wrap to safely and securely package goods
- Loading packaged goods into containers for shipping
- Completing paperwork or entering data into software to allow orders to be tracked
- Ensuring that storage areas are kept fully stocked at all times
- Stock counting
- Following health and safety policies and procedures in the warehouse
- Maintaining a clean working environment.

**Experience**
- At least 2 years previous experience in an warehouse role
- Experience of picking and packing items safely
- Experience of booking goods-in (desirable)
- Experience of operating a forklift truck (desirable)
- Experience of basic warehouse administration and using computer systems to record data

**Skills/Knowledge**
- Lifting, moving and handling safely
- Health and safety in a warehouse environment
