Information Governance Officer/administrator

The role of the Information Governance Administrator is to provide comprehensive advice and coaching regarding Information Governance legislation, policies, and procedures to all staff at all levels across the organisation.
The post holder will work closely with the Information Governance Advisor and Information Governance Manager to promote compliance with all Information Governance and Data Protection statutory and legislative duties.
**Main Duties of the post holder**:
- Provide specialist advice and coaching to staff, managers, and key stakeholders on the full range of Information Governance legislation, policies, and procedures.
- To coach and advise staff and managers in the development of documentation, which may include, contract clauses, information sharing agreements, data protection impact assessments, posters and leaflets, and other promotional and training materials.
- To proactively undertake continuous professional development and to maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, best practice, and new developments in Information Governance.
- To develop and deliver specialised Information Governance training programmes for all staff across the Trust.
- Build effective relationships with staff at all levels of the Trust and use influencing skills to make recommendations for changes in working practices to enable IG compliance with the DSPT national standards and relevant legislation.
- Investigate data breaches and areas of non-compliance within the Trust and assess and advise on the implementation of relevant best practice methods
- Perform internal information governance audits in accordance with national and ICO requirements and report findings including compliance risks to Information Asset Owners and other key stakeholders as appropriate.
