Macdonald Cardrona Hotel, Golf & Spa is set upon the River Tweed in the scenic Scottish Borders. Featuring 99 bedrooms, a championship golf course, 4 meeting and events suites and a leisure club and spa.
Our Special Event Executives are experienced hospitality professionals who enjoy working on their own initiative, demonstrate a flexible approach and can multi-task. Most importantly they do all this with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a relentless drive for excellence.
More than experience, it is important to us that our Sales and Event Executives bring a natural passion for hospitality that will stand out to guests and colleagues alike. They will become recognised Ambassadors for not only Macdonald Cardrona but the company as a whole.
Your natural flair for engaging with guests to ensure they feel they are in safe hands will be second to none. Most importantly we are looking for people who enjoy putting smiles on the faces of others.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
.To input into the revenue strategy of the hotel with your experience in sales in a similar property, using forward thinking to develop the events area of the business
- Answer any booking enquiries relating to conferences, banqueting and weddings to company core standards
- Maximise meeting room and hotel occupancy at all times, always looking for additional revenue opportunities
- Organise group reservations from initial enquiry to completion
- Produce weekly function sheets and communicate within the departments of the hotel
- To coordinate confirmed business with particular attention to detail.
- Ensure preparation of weekly revenue meetings as required (competitor analysis, booking chases, reports, etc.)
- Liaise on a regular basis with the revenue manager regarding relevant information useful for the rate strategy
- Carry out show rounds of the hotel to potential clients in a professional manner, ensuring follow up is carried out and meet conversion targets. Secure future business through networking and delivering excellent service
- Ensure internal documents and systems are used as per company standards, adhering to strict GDPR process
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00 per year
