We specialise in supplier research, selection, negotiation and completely fulfil the act of procuring luxury goods on behalf of our clients. Established in 2012, Beauty Brokers has grown year-on-year and has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional results for our strategic partners. Due to the continuing success of our business and our desire to expand, we are now looking to recruit and enhance our team by recruiting an additional Buyer. This is very much seen as a development role with opportunity to grow with the business. Please copy and paste the link below into your browser to view our state of the art premises in Redditch. **The Role**: - Buying from multiple Suppliers across different countries on a daily basis; - Analysing Supplier stock lists; - Undertaking Supplier comparisons across terms and costs; - Importing stock lists onto the bespoke Company software system; - Managing order confirmations; - Working closely with the Company Director and Senior Buyer to maximise procurement opportunities for the business; - Travelling both within the UK and overseas on a monthly basis to visit Suppliers - this may include some weekend travel; - As this is a small business, experience will also be gained by supporting and assisting in other departments as and when required; - This is ultimately an autonomous role with great development opportunities; **The Person**: Ideally we are looking for an individual that has had some previous experience of working as a Buyer, preferably within a small Procurement team. This should be seen as an excellent development opportunity as you will be working closely with both the Senior Buyer and Company Director, who will both perform a mentoring role. As a small team, it is essential that an individual matches our culture and values, as well as this, we are looking for the following attributes: - Reliability and loyalty - this is not to be seen as a "stepping stone" opportunity; - Ability to work diligently and accurately as there is a large amount of data analysis and inputting required involving reviewing stock-lists and identifying trends; - Strong IT skills and confidence - MS Office as well as previous database experience; - Understanding how a business works in terms of cash flow; - Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to build relationships quickly; - Flexibility - this is not a standard 9am - 5pm role, travel is required outside of normal working hours. However work/life balance is appreciated and rewarded; - Ideally you will have had previous experience of working/dealing with suppliers from overseas and an understanding of logistics and working with foreign currencies would be a distinct advantage; - Whilst you will be required to work on your own initiative, it is essential that you enjoy being part of a small team and are willing to support others at challenging times; - You must hold a full UK Driving License and have your own vehicle; **Terms & Benefits**: As a Company we strive to look after our employees and reward those that demonstrate our values and culture well.
