We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, upbeat, and determined individual to join our nursery.
The nursery is registered for 64 children aged 0-5 years.
As a Nursery Cook, you will:
- To be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen
- To prepare and present a freshly cooked lunchtime meal including a dessert for the nursery staff to serve to children in our care. The chef must also provide suitable alternatives to accommodate for children with allergies, particular dietary requests and those who observe religious beliefs.
- To adhere to the ‘Safer food better business’ standards and record keeping.
- To prepare and store a light tea for the nursery staff to serve in the afternoon to the children, again following specific requests made by parents.
- To work with the Nursery Manager to plan a well balanced, healthy and fresh menu in conjunction with the **Eat Better Start Better document**.
- To complete food orders within the allocated budget and the appropriate timescales for deliveries.
- To plan bakery classes with the children each week.
- To design themed menus
- To order food online using our supplier
- To adhere strictly to Food Hygiene Regulations and other safety procedures at all times.
You will work a 8.30am to 5pm shift with 30 minute lunch break.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: Up to £24,000.00 per year
