Our client is seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead a team of up to 15 staff working mid-shift Monday - Friday, 2pm - 11pm.
The annual salary will be £30,900, with O/T opportunities and 34 days holiday (inc bank holidays).
- With the right training, to be able to drive all material handling equipment
- Able to commit to the shift time
- Physically fit and able to follow safe manual handling to include lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
- Potentially walking / standing for a duration of a shift
- Lifting and moving cartons up to 20kg
- Hands on, a strong leader with previous supervisory experience
Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage the team ensuring they are multi tasked across all job functions
- Confident to use a bespoke computer system with adequate training
- Carry out shift handovers and brief team members
- Drive various material handling equipment; counterbalance, man-up order pickers. In house training can be provided for those without the appropriate licences
- Manage the safe unloading / loading of product from vehicles
- Responsible for all aspects stock and system functionality
- Manage the assignment of order picking and despatch of all orders
- Pick customers' orders from one unit to a trailer load
- Manage the variance process
- Ensure that there is resource available for all areas of responsibility
- Ensure trunks are ready to depart on time
- Process customer returns, ensuring accuracy
