**Role Overview**:
The **Technical Assurer** role is a senior part of the technical team. The role has a number of responsibilities mainly around shaping direction of commissions with the customer engagement team, providing technical assurance on commissions,technically leading commissions and supporting assurance and technical coherence.
- Provide support to customer engagement team
- Ensure problems on a page are technically shaped to answer business needs, and to ensure they are technically deliverable and meet customer needs
- Estimation of technical effort needed to deliver proposals, building a credible offer up-front reducing time in rework
- Lead selection of Technical Lead for commissions
- Support selection of Commission Delivery Lead
- Author CTF's for commissions as required and support down selection events
- Commission-based Technical Governance
- Support the technical governance service
- Conduct technical reviews of agreed commissions, culminating in summary of current commission status, risks and recommended actions

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Good track record of technical leadership.
- Experienced and confident in operating in a big picture role
- Self-motivated and delivery focussed.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic start-up environment with the ability to work within a rapidly evolving organisation.
- Enthusiastic and willing to work flexibly to be part of a high-performing team.
- Proven experience of working in a consultancy role, focused on customer needs and requirements or equivalent engineering role with customer/stakeholder exposure and influence.
- Experience across the full product development lifecycle from requirements to user testing.
- Excellent verbal and written technical communications skills. Able to brief complex matters to an appropriate level based on audience.

**Desirable Experience**:

- Experience in leading Agile or scaled Agile teams, or a member of this type of team.
- Familiarity with a DevOps environment
- Systems engineering experience particularly in design. implementation and integration activities
- Experience of AWS and/or Azure.
- Exposure to Cloud technologies.
- Experienced and knowledgeable in aspects of data science and data engineering
- Domain knowledge in any of the following: communications data/technologies, cyber, law enforcement, policing, healthcare
