**Salary: £12.30 (£11.50 first 3 months)**

Your role:
As the Shift Supervisor your role will be creating a ‘unique Italian welcoming environment’ full of warmth and friendliness to our customers visiting our boutiques. We pride ourselves in sourcing only the best ingredients, producing authentic recipes and presenting a premium product offer to our customers, its therefore paramount that we deliver this with a premium service experience, that’s both high quality and genuine, enabling us to create loyal customers that will want to return time and time again.

The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the store manager in managing the day-to-day operations and running of the store. You will need to ensure your team is working effectively, and ensure customers are at the heart of everything you do. We are seeking a Shift Supervisor who is motivated to work in a fast pace, busy environment; ideally someone who is comfortable being around food and retail.

This role requires heavy customer interaction, and a lot of attention to detail. Venchi Shift Supervisors hold the knowledge, supervise standards and procedures and lead the team towards a successful business operation

In summary.
- A brief understanding of operational KPI’s including sales, waste and labour
- Assist and support the store manager with day-to-day operational priorities and run the shop in their absence.
- A shift supervisor must be Hands on - willingness to chip in as and when necessary
- Be proactive towards achieving targets, planning the shift according to the goals and placing the team members in the right positions to maximise every opportunity
- Open and close the site using the checklists
- Cashing up and reconciling the till daily
- Encourage clear and engaging communication between team members and upwards.
- As a shift supervisor you need to recognise and praise the team when they do a good job and react when the performance is not acceptable.
- Keep the store manager aware and informed on the team’s and team member’s individual performance
- React and adapt quickly to change and make timely thoughtful decisions
- Ensure the team consistently delivers a great customer’s service and provides the best product according to the Venchi guidelines and mission statement.
- Use customer feedback to improve customer service and experience in the shop.
