Vehicle Auction Porter

**Job purpose**

Carry out full range of porter duties at our Mitcham vehicle pound. Reporting to and being issued tasks from a site supervisor and/or Area Manager.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Ensure all aspects of Health and Safety and Environment policies are always observed.
- Receive vehicles into the compound, prepare the car for auction (including removing of personal belongings and GDPR or data protection, photograph the vehicle for sale.
- Assist customers when viewing and when vehicle collections take place.
- Comply with all employment policies specifically Data Protection
- Checking invoice payments and obtaining correct ID for various types of client including motor traders and their motor trade certificate and regular customers where a new keepers slip maybe issued

**Qualifications**

No specific qualifications are required however a counterbalance forklift licence is preferable as is a full driving license (but this is not essential)

Good attention to detail, computer skills and complete confidentiality are also required.

**Working conditions**

The role is based primarily outside in the Compound. The wearing of personal protective equipment at all times will be necessary. (Uniform and PPE will be provided) some office work will also be necessary.

Canteen and staff room provided.

**Physical requirements**

The vehicle pound team are working in an outdoor environment requiring a high level of physical fitness.

**Salary**: Up to £26,325.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday (08:00hrs to 16:30hrs)
