Mechanical Technician

**Dawson Levy Resourcing**currently have a great opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join a leading organisation working within the Water Industry in East London.

**About the role**:
It is an exciting time to join the North East London M&E team during a period of heavy investment from the company. As a valued member of the team, you will be involved in the day to day running of the treatment plants in the area by carrying out maintenanceon our assets, carrying out fault finding and suggesting recommendations for the improvements of our plants. You will be given support from management to develop yourself and attend various training courses to maintain your competence.

**What you will be doing**
- **Working on various pumps**, involved in water transfer within water treatment works and transmission of water throughout the network as well as smaller chemical dosing pumps
- **Investigating mechanical plant failures and carrying out repairs** as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid interruptions for our customers. This may involve investigating and diagnosing complex faults and carrying out repairs duringincidents
- **Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work**on mechanical equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience
- **Providing technical advice to the wider team**, referring to up-to-date technical knowledge, and providing training or support for technical trainees if required
- **Assisting with project work that is ongoing in the area.**It is an exciting time to join the NEL M+E team due to heavy investment from the company you will be involved in assisting the delivery of site improvement projects

**What we are looking for**:

- **ONC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 Mechanical engineering discipline**:

- A valid driving license is essential as you will be required to support across the North East London area
- **Physically fit** as you will work in **confined spaces** with successful completion of the appropriate training
- **Knowledge and awareness of health and safety** issues are crucial
- Be a time served apprentice with **significant experience mechanical environment**:

- **Experience using workshop machinery**
