A growing organisation in Barrow-in-Furness have partnered exclusively with Kenton Black Finance as they seek to appoint an experienced Senior Finance Officer/Assistant Accountant. Forming part of a high calibre finance function, this is a varied and handson finance position which supports the Finance Manager whilst mentoring and supervising junior members of the finance team.

Your New Role as Senior Finance Officer:
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will work in a friendly and supportive finance team with specific responsibilities including:

- Supporting in the production of management accounts
- Assisting with year end statutory accounting requirements
- Assisting in the preparation of long-term strategic budget planning information
- Involvement with sales and purchase ledger, reconciliations, journal and nominal ledger
- Input into payroll processing
- Process transactions including purchase orders, income and expenditure, supplier payments, recharges for services, credit control and creditor reconciliations
- Support with the preparation of VAT returns
- Communicating with budget holders and other stakeholders to provide financial support
- Provision of ad hoc reports and analysis as required
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
To be considered, you will be proven in a similar finance role with good understanding of financial procedures and practices. Ideally you will be AAT qualified or already studying CIMA/ACCA (a full study package will be offered if required). Strong Excel sillsare required and familiarity of Access Dimensions is advantageous.
