Full or Part time hours available. Successful applicants will be required to provide an enhanced CRB disclosure employee to meet the cost. Employer will reimburse the cost with first pay. If employee leaves within 6 months, CRB cost will be re-cooped. The Employer has claimed an exception under the Equality Act 2010. **PURPOSE OF POSITION** To provide or assist in wakeful night duty cover in the home. To undertake certain domestic duties which can be performed during the night hours. To be appointed "person in charge" in the absence of senior staff. **Responsibilities and Duties** 1. To be knowledgeable regarding health and safety at work including environmental health. 2. To conduct yourself and the care you provide in such a way so as not to bring the home or its clients into danger or disrepute. 3. To maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of care and management of the home. 4. To have knowledge of and be competent in the use of equipment relevant to your duties. 5. To be knowledgeable regarding emergency procedures pertaining to our client group. 6. Carry out regular checks around the home at intervals determined by the proprietor and with due regards for clients' privacy. 7. Carry out regular checks on the building with special reference to fire protection. 8. Answer client paging, assess the situation, deal with the client seeking help or call upon the sleep-in staff. 9. Assist clients who need help, reassurance or comfort. 10. Assist clients preparing for bed and waking in the morning as directed. 11. Read and write reports in case notes. 12. Take part in staff meetings and training activities as directed. 14. Assist with the giving of medication; to take full responsibility for this if appointed "person in charge" as above. 15.
