Pratap Partnership are recruiting for a successful business in the Bingley area for a Commercial Finance Analyst for a 6 month period. There is also the possibility of longer-term development within the organisation with this role.

Supporting the Head of Finance, with one direct report, the main focus of the role is to challenge, advise and support the commercial & operational teams with budgeting, planning, reporting and reviews.The aim is long-term improvement of business performancethrough profitability and service levels.

This role offers a suitably experienced Commercial Finance Analyst the chance to have a real impact with the advice they give to the wider business, working collaboratively on a daily basis. It also offers the opportunity to use your people skills to expandthe finance function's profile within the business and to appropriately challenge and monitor commercial KPIs.

Duties include:

- Working collaboratively with individual departments to build and understand budgets and forecasts, as well as reviewing and supporting long term sales demand and new approaches.
- Supporting the analysis of the efficacy of specific customer activity alongside the marketing team
- Developing, implementing and monitoring KPIs for various cost centres in order to control costs, identify issues and increase performance
- Liaising with other departments to ensure the spread of products is commercially informed
- Monitoring, reviewing and analysing ongoing and past sales performance, variances and costs to influence the production of more effective plans and activities
- Supporting the marketing and operational departments in collating and providing accurate and timely financial data which enables effective financial accounting and KPI reporting.
- Working with the Financial Accounting Manager & management accounts team to validate and review the economic result.
- Delivering or contributing to targeted commercial test and operational projects including capital expenditure to drive improved long term demand, margins, productivity and cost control.
- Providing commercial advice, commentary or reports to the departments, Senior Management Team and the Board to support financial information

Experience and skills required for this interim role are:

- Ideally a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with experience of working in a commercial environment beyond a finance function
- Understanding of marketing and merchandising approaches, operational systems and processes
- The ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships with management and professionals within commercial and operational departments
- Ability to challenge, guide and advise non-financial professionals
- Strong influencing and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and with group teams

The company have a 36.5 hour week with early finish on a Friday and remote working Monday and Friday.
