Technical Data Analyst / Tester - AWS, SQL, Snowflake, NoSQL
Location: London - 2 days per week in the office
Day rate: £600 per day, Outside IR35
Duration: 6-12 Months contract
I am currently working with a leading London based, Insurance client that are looking for a Technical Data Analyst / Tester to join their data team.
This client are a fully Cloud-based organisation, using AWS services internally and a range of SaaS technologies, with a fully Apple-based desktop environment.
Key responsibilities will include:

- Gathering, analysing & understanding requirements for output from / ingestion into the Data Universe
- Creating schemas and transformation specifications for the data pipeline from source to fully conformed
- Creating and executing tests of implemented schemas and transformations
Knowledge and key skills required:

- Understanding of domain-driven data principles.
- Experience of working with / differentiating conceptual & implementation models.
- Detailed experience (2yrs +) of Analysis working with business uers to elicit and document requirements wrangling / profiling / understanding / analysing source data structures specification creating database schemas - JSON & relational writing technicaltransformation specifications.
- Testing, creating test strategies & plans in an ETL / ELT environment executing tests.
- Practical experience of, and generally comfortable working with, a range of database technologies, tools and patterns
- Cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Relational / SQL - particularly Snowflake (essential) - any others useful.
- Document databases / NoSQL - particularly JSON structures (essential).
- Star schemas / datamarts.
- Data modelling tools, eg. Sparx EA, ERWin.
- Working practices - strong experience of and comfortable.
- Working with stakeholders across the spectrum - end users to engineers.
- Working in a mixed team of architects / analysts / engineers etc.
- Agile / Scrum development.
- Business knowledge.
- Experience of working in a complex data domain.
- London insurance market knowledge useful but not essential.
