**What to expect**

At Thorntons, our Compliance and Risk Department provides invaluable regulatory and compliance support to the firm and is responsible for delivering the full compliance framework to ensure the firm’s operations comply with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Ideally suited to a student, the Compliance and Risk Administrator is a dynamic opportunity to gain hands on experience in legal compliance within a reputable law firm environment.

In this role you will:

- Provide administrative, analytical and reporting support to the Compliance and Risk team
- Conduct analysis and assist with the collaboration of data to produce reports
- Support the identification, assessment and mitigation of risks across various areas of the firm’s operations
- Contribute to the development, review and implementation of compliance policies and procedures
- Conduct research on emerging regulatory developments, industry trends and best practices to inform decision-making

**What we’re looking for**
- A current student or recent graduate in either Law, Business, Finance or another related field.
- An interest in compliance, risk management or legal affairs
- Excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Attention to detail and the capability to prioritise and stay on task within a fast-paced environment
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the team and wider colleagues at all levels
- Hours can be flexible to fit around a student timetable or other commitments - we anticipate that the role will be circa up to 16 hours per week
