Are you an inspirational support worker who currently supports people with dementia or have supported people who have had dementia in the past.

Adept Health and Social care have won 2 support contracts are currently looking for 3 extraordinary individuals who have a minimum of 2 years support experience of working in a dementia care setting and have a real passion to make a difference to the people they currently support or who have supported.

Can you work in a team who can deliver outstanding care to the people we support who are living with dementia, by delivering exceptional care.

Our dedicated and passionate support workers can really make a difference each day they come to work treating the people who use our service with dignity, professionalism, and true compassion, this will be embedded at the centre of everything you do. Our support workers have a real awareness of understanding the true meaning of assessing risks and safeguarding the people who use our service every single minute they are in our care.

Our team of dedicated support workers will work in teams who support our people within the supported living framework, you will in a closely knit team to support and meet their needs in a variety of complex care settings and in times of distress. As an experienced support worker, you will take on the full responsibility of diverting away sometimes potentially dangerous situations and ensuring everything you do having a mindset of always safeguarding the person you support in each and every situation.

As a support worker, you will be challenged daily with people who will present to be challenging and who are always nonverbal so having advance communication skills is a key attribute to succeed in this role. The people we support will have limited mobility so your intuition to asses’ risks is always vital in everything you do.

Personal care is a pivotal part of the role so you will need to have had previous experience in a care setting. As an experienced support worker, you will need fill in daily communication log sheets and have experience in completing daily medication records.

As a support worker you will ensure the general well-being of the people, we support by promoting their independence especially at mealtimes with having patience and ensuring we meet their nutritional needs.

It is essential you have access to a car as you will assisting and taking our clients to various places within Leicester.

Currently we have daytime hours from 7am to 9pm weekdays and nights available from 9pm to 7am full training will be provided and paid.

Due to religious and family preferences the family are looking for male support workers for this role.

We do need to take work references DBS and any relevant training certificates. A requirement to this job is to have references that we could approach on your behalf.
