We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our well-established childcare provision. Nestled behind our lovely old Farm House, Yew Trees is a purpose-built Nursery where every classroom door leads out onto acres of rolling countryside. Nature and the outdoors are at the heart of our children’s daily experiences and it is from here that the team is committed to making a difference to the lives of the children in our care.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Provide opportunities for children to learn through play experiences that are cohesive with our practice and the EYFS, utilising the outdoors as much as possible.
- Provide a secure and stimulating environment where children can develop emotionally and intellectually as well as morally, physically, spiritually and socially, at their own pace.
- Maintain the safety, security and wellbeing of the children in our care.
- Undertake work positively as part of the team, contributing ideas and listening to feedback, to guide development of our practice and care.

**Skills and experience**:

- Understand that everyone is different and making sure people who use our services are respected and given the best experience.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills and the ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
- Possess and maintain a solution-focused approach
- Possess a belief in the value and potential of children and young people as individuals and as a group
- Possess a natural empathy and passion for working with children
- Team player but also able to work on own initiative
- Self-motivated and flexible
- Ability to provide emotional and social support whilst promoting learning and respect
- Willingness to learn and accept leadership and mentoring input
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent attendance and punctuality record
- Commitment to providing a high standard of customer care
- Flexible attitude and willing to adapt to new challenges
- Some I.T and social media skills

**Hours**:38 per week

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,035.00 per year
