**Description**:
You are responsible for the supervision and organisation of the goods out and deputising for the warehouse manager in their absence. This is a hands on role working alongside and supervising colleagues.
General Responsibilities
Goods out
Management of all goods out and distribution processes including:
- The picking, packing, loading, quality checks and distribution of inter branch transfers and customer deliveries, including driving delivery van as required.
- Delivery schedules, drivers and distribution.
- Loading delivery vehicles to ensure for timely/speedy despatch. Monitoring vehicle tracking and driving hours to ensure minimum down time is achieved.
You are also responsible for supporting other stock maintenance and warehouse processes including
- Warehouse
- The storage of shop overstock in a manner suitable for quick and efficient daily store picking.
- The control and responsibility for incoming and outgoing stock into and from the warehouse and stores.
- The care of stock to avoid damage or loss.
- Daily picking for store top up.
Goods In
- Assisting with Incoming deliveries in coordination with the goods in team.
- Managing stock inventory once booking in has been completed.
Stock control and loss prevention
- Management of stock awaiting return or credit.
- Taking necessary action to prevent colleagues do not mishandle or damage stock.
- Ensuring all gates and security doors are kept secure at all times.

Ensuring all colleagues under your control are fully conversant with Company procedures relevant to their role.
- General:
- You must have a working understanding of Company systems and procedures to be able to perform all the day to day functions relating to your position.
- Ensuring all areas are safe and free from hazards.
- First aid duties as required.
- Keyholder duties as required.
- Out of hours stocktaking, late night shopping, Christmas shopping duties as required.
- Ensuring compliance with health & hygiene, safety, legislative and company administrative regulations.
- This position requires a valid forklift licence.
**Prerequisites**
**You will be a team player, with knowledge of supervising and motivating people, and an in-depth working knowledge of warehouse functions. Previous experience working in a warehouse is essential for this role.
You must be computer literate and numerate, with a good attention to detail. Full training will be provided on our IT and stock systems.
**Duration**:
Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours a week.
