**Job Title: Senior / Principal Fluvial Geomorphologist**
**Location: Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Belfast**

**Opportunity**
We are currently seeking an experienced Fluvial Geomorphologist to fill a role within our team in the North (Newcastle, Stockton on Tees, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast).

The role is within a River Basin Management team, which sits within a diverse multi-disciplinary team that also contains ecologists, landscape architects, carbon specialists, sustainability specialists and engineers. The team is increasingly focused on digital solutions, and experience of advanced data analysis, coding and automation would also be of benefit. The role will present opportunities to work on research and development projects, and to formulate and deliver new research projects. The role will present the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients on projects in the UK and abroad.

The role will allow input on projects that deliver Nature-Based Solutions and contribute to improved resilience through climate change mitigation and adaptation.

**Required Skills and Experience**
Expertise in Fluvial Geomorphology and River Basin Processes, River Restoration / Renaturalisation, Geomorphological Analysis and Design, Water Framework Directive assessment, and Natural Flood Management will be required.

**Desirable Skills and Experience**
An understanding of river basin hydrology and hydraulic modelling would be advantageous, as would experience of the modelling of geomorphological change.
