Job Introduction
We are looking for a NCMP Practitioner** **to join our fantastic team within HCRG Care Group. This is an exciting role to work with our local schools. You will be going into year six classes to measure BMI and promote a healthy lifestyle. You will work independently and manage your own caseload. This is a great opportunity to make a real change to a child’s life.

We care about work life balance, therefore this role has the opportunity to be taken on as a term time only contract, to which the salary would be pro rata. You will be based primarily in West Essex.

Main Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh and measure the height of consenting children in Reception and Year 6 as part of NCMP and to check that they are growing healthily and identify any growth problems.
- Undertake Vision screening of children in Reception as part of the School Entry Health Screening offer. Follow up any failed vision tests with parents and offer onward referral.
- Engage with families as part of the NCMP programme and offer signposting and support where required
- Offer brief interventions and health promotion advice to support children to achieve a healthy weight
- Complete onward referrals at parent/carer request to the Family Healthy Lifestyles service

All training will be provided, it is essential you can drive and have access to a car.
