If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Data Protection Operational Lead to join our team at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and we'd love to hear from you
The Transparency and Data Protection Teams sits within Exec Team and Central Operations at the heart of MHCLG. The team advises business areas on a wide range data protection compliance issues, including impact assessments, data transfers and risk mitigation.
**Job description**:
As the Data Protection Operational Lead your responsibilities will include:
- Line management responsibility for up to 4 HEO’s, motivating the team to deliver their best work.
- To provide timely and quality advice to those complex requests from business areas requiring an experienced and expert caseworker.
- Quality assure the HEO cases, ensuring that appropriate quality standards are met.
- Manage the team’s case load, from triage and casework meetings, making sure service standards are met and cases are distributed fairly.
- To provide team members with advice, support and technical help to enable them to deliver quality advice.
- Find opportunities for continuous improvement of our services.

Essential Criteria:
- Experience of managing a quality service to ensure appropriate standards of quality and timeliness are met.
- Be a confident and empowering manager, capable of leading others through sensitive and demanding work.
- Have impeccable organisational skills and can keep track of large amounts of information and different pieces of work.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with an ability to communicate steers clearly and succinctly.
- Hold high levels of personal resilience, including the ability to adapt quickly to new demands and work flexibly to deliver quality outcomes.
