We have an opportunity for an experienced ER Advisor to join our team to provide Advice and guidance to our managers and employees.

Reporting to the ER Manager, you will take a commercial, people-centred and resolution focused approach to ER Advice as well as contributing to wider people vision projects.

You will be part of a wider People Services team made up of Talent Acquisition and Resourcing, Learning and Development, People Operations, Employee Relations and Business Partnering and will work in a large (500 plus employees) law firm based in Bristol.

**Key responsibilities**
- Deliver the ER Service and people-related activities across the company.
- Support line managers with specific/technical HR queries with the aim of delivering a people-centred employee relations culture which is resolution-focused and improve business outcomes.
- Continually support and upskill managers to competently and confidently manage people issues/concerns in their groups and divisions, without relying on intervention from The People Team/more senior managers in the organisation.
- Oversight and appropriate flagging of any high-risk processes, e.g. gross misconduct allegations, claims of discrimination, reports of alleged wrongdoing (whistleblowing)
- Support managers to maintain good quality and compliant records of any informal/formal people processes, decisions made and the outcomes of those processes, for their groups and divisions.
- Co-ordination of ER processes and active in conducting investigations/hearings.
- Conduct any restructures/redundancies/consultations/TUPE activities.
- Provide training/advise to the BP team as required in relation to complex/difficult ER issues.
- Carry out projects that contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Determine and communicate employee relations policies, standards and compliance expectations.
- Personally develop and facilitate of workshops and updates for managers and relevant colleagues.
- Keep up to date with Employment Law changes and implement any necessary changes to ER processes
- Adhere to UK legislation, employment regulations, GDPR, ACAS good practice and established company policies and procedures for compliant employee relations policies, systems, records and practices.
- Participate in any HR projects as required.

**Essential experience and skills**
- Experience of working at Advisor level in an HR team
- Ability to build relationships by understanding the needs and drivers of others
- Must be resourceful and proactive
- Microsoft Office and related tools
