A bit about us:
Watling Goldsmiths’ is an independent, family run business located in Lacock. Designer Jeweller Jane Watling, owner, designer and goldsmith designs and makes the jewellery on the premises. Watlings has been established for nearly 50 years and is well know for Jane's unique and individual designs. We run on an appointment and locked door basis, allowing us to serve our customers to the highest standard. We are a small team of friendly, hard working, dynamic people that we have an exciting opportunity for you to join.
Main job roles:
- Displaying the jewellery
- Keeping the shop tidy and clean
- Completing in store, face to face sales
- Answering the phone to customers
- Typing up jewellery valuations
- Writing descriptions for items to go onto our website
The job role is not limited to the list above.
- Have excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Have strong customer service skills
- Previous experience within a customer focused role in retail, or you may have worked in a similar industry.
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment, ensuring that deadlines are met with the work always being completed to the highest ability.
- Have strong computer knowledge, ideally with Apple Mac and the use of Pages. This is not essential but would be beneficial to the role. We will offer full training on the job.
- Be friendly and forward-thinking.
- A background knowledge of jewellery is preferred but not essential. We will offer full training on the job.
- Be able to work towards sales targets
- Must have a driving license

Our working week is Tuesday to Saturday
Hours 9am-5.30pm
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
