**Job Title**: Warehouse Operative

**Reports to**: Logistics and Procurement Manager

**Location**: Witham - Essex

**Job Purpose**:
As our network build and customer installations grow across the lightspeed footprint it is vital that our logistics chain is proficient in supply of equipment to field, as part of this it is fundamental that as a business we have a thorough understanding of what our stock holding is, where our key assets are and that we have a process in place to restock on all equipment ahead of demand.

**Job Description and Responsibilities**
- Assist the Logistics manager and warehouse supervisor in the day to day running of the warehouse.
- Respond to any relevant inventory queries raised by any other areas of the company.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
- Taking goods to the appropriate storage and racking space.
- Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly.
- Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely (especially high valued items).

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Experience in Supply chain and warehousing is essential
- Competent working with Microsoft Excel and Outlook to record and communicate information.
- Proactively seeks to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
- Flexible and able to work across different shifts and locations on occasion.
- Forklift License

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
