We're seeking Social Research Interviewers / Field Interviewers to join a leading social research organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a Field Interviewer to join the field interviewing team to interview respondents in their own homes in theManchester / Greater Manchester (area). **You don't need to have experience just a positive outlook and great communication skills**

**You must have sole use of a car and home broadband.**

The Social Research Interviewers will get paid to meet people in their community and carry out important studies into policy areas such as transport, health, education and housing. **No market research or sales is involved** - all participants have been sent an advance letter by the Government Department or Research Institute.

Joining as a Field Intervieweryou'll ask the questions that will inform policies to change people’s lives

As a key member of the Field Interviewing Team, you should expect to conduct face-to-face interviews with respondents at addresses. These households will have been sent a letter letting them know you will be calling, but it will be up to you to persuadepeople to take part in the survey. Some can’t wait to take part; others are more reluctant - but the addresses and/or respondents cannot be substituted. **If selected as a Field Interviewer, you'll undergo a comprehensive training and induction programme (as well as ongoing professional development).**

**To qualify ** You should be outgoing, confident and a great communicator, happy to meet new people. You just need the right attitude and a CV and cover letter that demonstrates:

- Self motivation;
- Planning and organisational skills;
- Rapport building skills;
- Internet broadband at home;
- You are able to work at least 6 hours a day 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends;
- To be willing to travel within your geographical area;
- Documents to verify your identity and to show you’re eligible to work in the UK;
- To be comfortable with using computer equipment;
- A driving licence and use of a car is essential.
