Information Systems Data Architect (Engineering) Opportunity for contract extension or made permanent £50/hourly PAYE; Up to £66/hourly Umbrella rate Duration: 12 months Site: Stevenage The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, are looking to recruit a skilled Information Systems Data Architect to lead the development of the approach, procedures, strategies, and models regarding data management and safeguarding. Live tasks includeencouraging knowledge of data practices and promoting good data management by ensuring that teams and relevant individuals understand the benefits. As an Information Systems Data Architect, the additional duties will include understanding data management frameworks and enterprise strategy. **What we're looking for**: - Proven work experience as a Data Architect or similar role - Demonstrate the ability to define strategy based on industry best practices and Enterprise environment. - Established skills in data modelling/visualisation tools and knowledge of complex, multi-domain, multi-network environments - Relevant training and/or certifications in data management - Familiarity with the Defence industry would be desirable. - Experience designing and/or implementing data and meta-data management processes and solutions, such as data tagging. **"Please Note**: MBDA UK requires all employees to achieve the appropriate clearance relevant to the role" **What you'll get to do as an Information Systems Solution Architect**: - Work with existing Data projects to develop a central IM Data Strategy. - Develop processes and procedures for data management, foster data maturity, and drive improvements. - Establish best practices for data management and governance across the organisation. - Revaluate the Identity and Access Management process and make suggestions for advancement. - Liaise with the Infrastructure and Security teams to assess perimeter enforcement of data protection and replication of data across multiple environments (internal and external) - Oversee the selection and implementation of data management tools, including data classification. - Consider operational requirements and costs. **More about the role**: MBDA's relationship with the UK military spans back over 70 years.
