**Job Title**: Sales Support Trainee

**Reports to**: Customer Service Supervisor

**Role Purpose**:

A major UK based organisation, Rhenus Logistics has strategically situated locations throughout the UK.

Due to continued organic growth within the Cannock depot, we are looking to recruit a trainee who is keen to work within an office environment and is looking to develop career in the fast-paced and varied industry of freight forwarding.

This role would be ideally suited to someone with the drive and ambition to further their career in a customer facing role.

**Main duties: To include, but not limited to**:

- Assisting the sales team with quotations for import and export shipments.
- Recording and analysing sales data.
- Gaining an understanding of the freight forwarding industry, pricing levels, profitability etc.
- Following up on quotations and obtaining feedback from customers.

**Skills and Experience**:

- A good grasp of numbers and excellent organisational skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and confident phone manner is essential.
- Good verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the company in a professional manner to all concerned.
- A desire to further your career and potentially progress to an external sales role in the future.
- Any experience in a customer facing role would be useful.

**Qualifications**:
Educated to A-Level standard or similar.

**Salary**: From £20,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cannock: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- A-Level or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- sales / customer service: 1 year (preferred)
