Pay Scale D (£26,918 - £29,616 FTE) (Actual £17,186.46 - £18,909.06)

**Hours**:08:30am - 15:00pm 27.5 Hours per week, Term Time Only.

Thornden School is seeking an exceptional individual to join our successful support staff team as a Cover Supervisor on a maternity cover basis.

**About the role**:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

- Work alongside the Cover Manager to ensure classes are covered and students remain engaged in learning
- Uphold the School’s behaviour and rewards policies, recording actions as necessary
- Provide additional support for colleagues by covering lessons when required
- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures including those relating to child protection, health & safety and security & confidentiality
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the SIMS Manager or Senior Leadership Team when cover is not needed.

**We are seeking**:

- An understanding of safeguarding protocols (training provided)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain instructions clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in literacy, numeracy and ICT packages
- An understanding of teaching and learning principles
- The ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to relate well to students, be an effective role model and motivate students to achieve success
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, maintaining professionalism at all times
