Are you ready to take the next step in your logistics career? InPost Distribution is looking for a proactive and detail oriented Gatehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic team at our Lutterworth Hub.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be based at either the Inbound or Outbound Gatehouse, where you’ll play a key part in the smooth and efficient flow of trailers through our hub. Using our advanced Yard Management System, you’ll be responsible for booking trailers in and out, while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the yard is always maintained.

**Shift Pattern**: 4on 4off

**Hours**: 06:00am - 18:00pm

**Salary**:£27,518.40 per annum

**What you’ll be doing**:
**Booking Trailers into the Hub**:
Utilising our advanced Yard Management System (C3), you’ll accurately manage the booking in and out of all inbound and outbound trailers. Your attention to detail will help maintain real-time visibility of trailer movements and ensure efficient flow through the site.

**Carrying Out Regular Yard Checks**:
You’ll be responsible for performing comprehensive yard checks at regular intervals throughout your shift. This includes monitoring trailer positions, ensuring correct bay allocations, and verifying compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.

**Supporting Yard Operations & Shunters**:
Act as a key liaison between the Gatehouse and Shunting teams. You’ll respond to trailer-related queries, provide clear instructions on trailer positioning, and help coordinate timely trailer movements to and from designated bays.

**Monitoring Yard Activity**:
Maintain constant awareness of all yard activity, identifying any inconsistencies or operational issues. You’ll work closely with the Operations Managers to resolve problems quickly and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

**What we need from you**:
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of operational processes and best practices, with a solid understanding of hub-based logistics operations.

The ability to work independently, make confident decisions, and remain calm and effective under pressure.

Confidence in using internal systems and operational equipment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyse data, manage reports, and support operational insights.
