Ashton Gate Stadium is a unique sports and entertainment business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City, Bristol Bears, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.

JOB PURPOSE

Drive the day-to-day e-commerce strategy, looking at ways to drive online traffic, conversion and sales whilst maintaining the smooth running of the online retail store. The role will take the lead in presenting our product ranges in the best way possible for supporters, providing an excellent online shopping experience that reflects the Bristol Sport vision.

KEY OBJECTIVES
- Lead responsibility for the online retail store

- Deliver best possible conversion and report on online sales
- Proactively deliver best practice in e-commerce
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (KPIs)
- Write and edit product content that will be published on the online store
- Set standards, systems and best practice for new product listings
- Work closely with the Marketing team and Design team to provide regularly updated content to drive online retail sales
- Monitor and drive online conversion rates, looking at ways to constantly improve
- Identify improvements to the online store infrastructure and user journey, looking at ways to make it as easiest as possible to purchase online
- Work with the Marketing team to deliver a marketing calendar for key product promotions and offers throughout the season
- Work closely with the Group Head of Retail and wider Retail team to ensure the site reflects bestsellers, stock availability, customer demand and relevance
- Constantly monitor best practice in e-commerce, working with our online store system provider to deliver the very best functionality across the site
- Report on digital campaigns, illustrating the successes of any online retail campaigns, sales results and recommendations for future improvements
- Drive upsell opportunities across the website, whilst linking the online sales process to supporter loyalty schemes
- Test and learn processes to constantly see what drives the best online results, testing different site layouts and creative and ensuring the site is optimised across all devices such as desktop and mobile

Essential Skills
- Evidence of having delivered strong web sales and traffic growth for another retailer
- Deep understanding of a customer focused approach to e-commerce balancing multi-channel preferences
- Strong analytical and commercial approach, able to take insights from digital platforms and report, present and propose future recommendations
- Proven ability to manage internal processes and main stakeholders
- Core understanding of the relationship between sales and marketing within a retail brand or trade marketing role
- Educated do degree level preferably marketing or business
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Working knowledge of Adobe creative cloud (Photoshop is key)
- Experience with online analysis tools (Google Analytics)
