**Job Title**: Buyer **Location**: Arundel - **OWN TRANSPORT IS REQUIRED DUE TO LOCATION** **Salary**:£25,000 TO £30,000 depending on experience **The Role**: We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced Buyer to join our Purchasing Team. The Buyer’s role is to delight our customers by ensuring we can provide the right products at competitive prices, at the right time, through our sales channels. **Experience and Qualifications**: - Create Purchase Orders based on need indicated by the IQ ERP system and/or Stock Controller. - Add new products to the ERP system following an exact protocol. - Find innovative ways to save cost and improve efficiency. - Monitor outstanding Purchase Orders and chase Suppliers to ensure On Time Delivery in Full. - Monitor supplier performance on Quality and On Time Delivery. - Collaborate with the Stock Controller and to keep a constant check on stock levels. - Manage relationships with new and existing suppliers. - Meet with staff and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods, services or delivery and determine corrective action. - Make sure that ordered items are delivered on time so they can be distributed to our customers within the required timeframe. - Supply the correct documentation to the Logistics Co-Ordinator if so required. - Make sure that you have sufficient knowledge about the commodities assigned to you (We will assist in obtaining this knowledge). - Obtain products and services at the best possible value for us and consequently its customers. - Carry out any other reasonable task which may be requested from time to time. - IT literate - confident using an ERP system, being able to extract, interpret and manipulate data. - Analytical skills and confident using Microsoft Office, including Excel. - Excellent written and verbal skills. - Strong organisation skills with good attention to detail. - Ability to work on own initiative. - Buying experience, preferably in a "high number of SKUs" environment. - CIPS Qualification not essential but advantageous. **Benefits** Generous contributory pension scheme - 23 days’ holiday (plus public holidays) - Employee discount - Employee benefits incl. cycle to work scheme - Excellent working environment **Our Service** We offer a personal service tailored specifically to your needs; we are proactive to find opportunities.
