Assistant Cook

**Please note, this position is part-time (20 hours per week).**

**As an Assistant Cook at Eagle House School - Strawberry Lodge, you’ll be working side by side with staff and students supporting our small Post 16 center, preparing and serving a range of tasty, nutritious food and supporting students with theirculinary and life skills.**You’ll be working at the heart of our school and will expect you to follow food hygiene rules and keep health and safety in mind. The key is to work collaboratively to create varied menus that encourage our young people intheir pathway to independence. You’ll help plan meals, taking into account any specific dietary requirements.

We’re ideally looking for you to have catering experience gained in a professional setting, but if you are a highly competent home cook who copes well with feeding the masses, we’d still like to hear from you. A Basic Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate wouldbe beneficial as would GCSEs or an equivalent qualification in Catering, for example, an NVQ Level 2. However, to be part of our team, the key ingredient is having the right attitude. If you’re hard working, friendly and dependable, you could be the perfectfit.
