To be involved in the technical team interacting with international growers and multiple UK retail customers to get a broad understanding of our technical responsibility to the UK Retailers. You will assist our team in their daily and strategic function to delivery best practice across all of our product categories.

**Key accountabilities & responsibilities**:

- Responsible for ensuring suppliers’ technical due diligence held on file is current and valid. This will involve requesting information from suppliers as and when documentation expires.
- Ensuring documentation received from suppliers meets companies, and each individual customers requirement.
- Supporting Supplier Compliance Technical Manager with maintaining AgriPlace portal
- Entering pesticide residue data (internal and customer) into the pesticide database (managing pesticide residue data)
- Support residue and microbiological analysis, the collection of the samples, logging of the samples on the laboratory online systems, trending and administration of the results and invoicing.
- Working with the QC team in undertaking regular Hygiene and GMP audits to maintain site standards.
- Assist with the creation of customer and supplier reviews/scorecards using data compiled within the technical & quality and commercial teams
- Support the management of systems and processes which ensure the business is aware of and complies with legislation and best practice covering food safety, quality and legality.

**Key skills and knowledge required**:

- A desire to learn
- Experience and knowledge of data collating
- Ideally 1-3 years fresh produce experience, but a recent graduate would be considered
- Good attention to detail
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to multi-task whilst remaining calm and retaining a positive attitude
- A clear communicator
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to the business needs
- Must be proactive in seeking out tasks and clarity of thought to ask when support is needed
- Practise and follow Health and Safety and food safety guidelines, ability to lead by example, and challenge where appropriate

**Any additional relevant information**:
The post holder must be able to remain flexible with regards to working hours/days determined by business need. There may be a requirement to work out of 3rd party sites or travel overseas therefore a valid driving licence and an unrestricted passport for travelling purposes is desirable.
