We have a fantastic opportunity for a Courier Driver to join our team based in Hull.

We are looking for a Courier Driver working on a 37.5 hour contract on flexible hours.

The main purpose of this courier driver role will be to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of goods and equipment.

The role will require excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders to maintain the highest standards. Using electronic and paper based forms of recording jobs and items delivered and collected, making sure that all courier jobs are carried out correctly and to scheduled times..

Possible working hours are between 06.00 - 22.30 Monday to Friday.

Also 08:00 - 20:00 Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. This will be on a rota'd basis - shift patterns will be discussed at the interview stage.

The role involves heavy lifting/manual handling of equipment and goods, driving a Luton, using a tail lift and moving trolleys and other large items.

The Main responsibilities are:

- To carry out courier journeys to various locations and to agreed routes and timings.
- To complete digital and manual documentation required by both legislation and organisational procedures.
- To maintain regular contact with the operations office using a range of communication systems.
- To ensure all items are kept safe and secure at all times.
- To comply at all times with the Road Traffic Act while driving and other relevant legislation connected to the vehicle.
- To act as customer contact at delivery points of service, and relay relevant information to the operations office
- To complete vehicle checks prior to use, and to notify any defects to the Operations Office verbally and by recording on appropriate documentation.
- To act in a polite and courteous manner to customers and road users at all times.

You MUST have held a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months and have no more than 6 penalty points, and C1 license enabling you to driver a vehicle with an unladen weight over 3.5 tonnes (3500KG)

- Good/Clear handwriting.

**Salary**: minimum wage hourly rate £10.47

Job Location: Hull, working from any of our three sites in Hull, Willerby and Beverley.

Required licence or certification:

- Driving Licence held for 12 month with C1.

You will be required to complete a DBS Check.
