Little Scholars Nursery is looking to recruit a part time cook/cleaner with a caring nature and positive attitude to join our supportive friendly nursery. Experience in being a solely responsible Cook for large numbers of children is essential, as are qualifications in this field.

Days and hours are: Mon
- Fri 16/20 Hours ( 4 day week may be considered)

Our nursery is open from 7.30am - 6pm, Monday to Fridays - no weekend work - 50 weeks ( Closed 2 weeks at Christmas)

**Housekeeper role**

Our nursery is spacious and full of activity and our housekeepers are key to keeping them running smoothly and efficiently. As a housekeeper your role will include the following activities
- Regularly cleaning surfaces and touch points to maintain good hygiene
- Deep cleaning toilets, floors
- mopping, dusting, laundry etc..
- Ensuring good H&S practice by storing and using materials safely.
- Working with the staff team to a plan cleaning routine around keeping the children safe.

**Nursery Cook role-**
- to plan, prepare and cook nutritious and balanced meals, suitable for children aged 5 and under, according to our current menus.
- To maintain a high standard of hygiene at all times and follow infection/ cross contamination control procedures.
- To be constantly aware of special dietary requirements.
- to follow standard food hygiene procedures (e.g. food temperature checks and monitoring; recording this daily)
- Prepare a healthy snack for each of the nursery rooms as required.
- To be able to bake (e.g. cakes, bread, pizza)
- To follow our policy on cleaning the kitchen and appliances

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
