Facilities Supervisor

**General**
1. The Facilities Supervisor is a full-time employee of CRFCA and is responsible to the Centres Manager, through Training Plans and Delivery and the Cadet Centres Manager for the Line Management of all the Facilities Assistant.
2. The postholder is responsible for the management of the day to day running of nominated Cadet Centre.
3. In the absence of the Centre Manager and as agreed, the postholder may sometimes be asked to deputise.
4. The position is on an All Hours Worked (AHW) basis working an average of 42 hours per week over a 17 week period (this included hours worked in the evenings and at weekends on a routine basis as directed by the line manager)
5. All staff have a duty to co-operate with their line managers and to take reasonable care of their own Health & Safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions. The post-holder is responsible for ensuring, so far as reasonably practicable, the Health & Safety of the staff they manage and for providing staff with appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision for all activities to ensure their safety at work.
Contribute to HQ RAFAC assurance processes
Line management responsibilities for Facilities Assistant(s) at identified centre location
Responsibility for the day-to-day Centre usage
Update and maintain the Centres Sharepoint Site for ease of use by RAFAC personnel (inc. CFAVs)
Manage all bookings, placing priority use for RAFAC personnel
Administrate bookings on a day-to-day basis
Manage contractors on site including conducting H&S briefing etc.
Promote the Centre through RAFAC social media accounts using the RAFAC Influence team’s platforms
Other reasonable tasks as agreed with your line manager commensurate with your grade
Provide support to groups in terms of setting up IT equipment (centre administrative and operational support only)
Provide cover for Centres when staff are on leave (same site)
Prepared to be flexible with evening and weekend working to support centre operation
**Stores Management**
Day to day maintenance of the main stores account and representation of a system of control and co-ordination for the secure storage, receipt, issue and accounting of weapons and equipment, Stores including training stores, accommodation stores.
Maintenance of The Special Stores Register
Coordinating the testing of all portable appliances / Fire alarm system In line with the prime contract
Following all external audit and inspection corrective actions plan developed after all external inspections (Fire, Range, SHEP)
**Accommodation & Facilities**
Produce and prioritise work services requests for building repairs and escalate to Centres Manager
Liaise with works services to facilitate visits for repairs
Produce and prioritise requests to Centres Manager for replacement/repair of furniture/furnishings
Control booking in/out at Centre reference liaising with Stn as appropriate. Printing passes etc.
Provide an induction briefing for all Camp Commandants/ IC groups (Handover/Takeover process). POC for each group visit
Liaise with on-site catering (contractors or Messes as appropriate) to ensure bookings are made and confirmed as per contract-stated timescales.
Management of laundry and dry cleaning in line with the HESTIA contract
Nominated Fire Officer for centre
Ensure fire checks are carried out weekly in line with Stn/Establishment and RAFAC policy
Oversight of facility cleaning in line with the appropriate contract
Management the contracted maintenance of facility roads, grass areas and buildings
Be available to accept deliveries at the Centres
Contribute to the production and implementation of the SHEP management action plans
Complete the SHEP management action plan agreed actions as allocated
**Activities**
Ensure all personnel using the equipment including vehicles are SQEP according to RAFAC policy/ legislation
Manage MT bookings following RAFAC policy/ legislation
Where necessary maintain vehicles as per MT guidance/policy and regulation
Ensure the equipment register is maintained and updated in line with policy/legislation
Ensure maintenance of centre equipment (i.e. climbing tower et al) in line with policy/legislation
Provide support to groups where qualified to do so and SQEP through RAFAC process. (Max. aggregated time 1 day per month. Line Management approval required.)
**Ranges**

Maintenance of ranges and range equipment at the centre
Facilitate inspections
Complete actions from inspections/audits
Control the bookings and ensure personnel are qualified to use the range
**SHEP/ Total Safety**
Facilitate inspections
Hold the appointment of individual Centre Fire Officer/ Fire Warden
Ensure all activities undertaken at the centre have been correctly risk assessed
Ensure all users comply with centres policies
Implement RAFAC report system for all accidents and near misses
