We are seeking a **Medical Laboratory Assistant** to join our friendly and supportive **UKAS-accredited Pathology Lab** at **KIMS Hospital** in Maidstone - Kent’s largest independent hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in patient care while learning from experienced professionals in a modern and fast-paced lab setting.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will provide essential support to our Biomedical Scientists, assisting with both technical and administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the delivery of a high-quality, multi-disciplinary pathology service.
- Accurately receiving, labelling, and recording specimens using our IT systems.
- Maintaining and cleaning laboratory equipment in line with SOPs and regulatory standards.
- Helping uphold our laboratory’s ISO:15189 accreditation through diligent, safe, and compliant practices.

**What We’re Looking For**

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to grow their skills in a clinical environment. Ideally, you will have:

- GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Confidence in using IT systems and a willingness to learn new platforms.
- Experience working in a healthcare or laboratory environment (desirable but not essential).
