Are you a Qualified Clinical Associate Psychologist looking to make a meaningful impact on adults facing severe, long-term mental health challenges? Do you want to support the dedicated teams working with these individuals while utilising opportunities in teaching, research and service development?
Join our compassionate and collaborative Primary Care Network Psychology Team in Telford & Wrekin, where we take pride in fostering a supportive, innovative, and nurturing team culture. We are dedicated to encouraging creativity and continuous improvement as we expand and enhance our services.
Our group interventions service supports clients with severe and enduring mental health issues who do not meet the criteria for IAPT or Adult Community Mental Health Teams. While we primarily offer group interventions, one-to-one interventions are available in specific circumstances. We work closely with other mental health teams and services.
We are committed to your professional development, offering ongoing training and growth opportunities to help you thrive in your career.
To provide an excellent standard of psychological and clinical input into the Primary Care Networks in order to meet the needs of people in primary care with complex psychological needs and provide support to general practice and mental health staff working in primary care.
To provide psychological assessment, formulation and interventions to clients with a range of psychological presentations within the PCN.
To work both autonomously and in consultation with colleagues, making appropriate decisions within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the employing organisation's policies and procedures.
To offer advice and consultation on service users' psychological care to clinical colleagues within the PCNs and to other professionals as appropriate.
To arrange and participate in Outreach work to build relationships and increase referrals from other services.
Come and work with us at our award-winning NHS Trust, leading the way for trying new and better ways of working to help improve life for our local communities.
We have around 9,000 staff who provide physical and mental healthcare, support for people with learning disabilities, and adult social care across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Shropshire, and Telford & Wrekin. We also run regional and national services, including help for new parents (perinatal care), eating disorders, forensic services, sexual health, and support for people in prison with mental health, drug, or alcohol problems.
We offer great career development for both clinical and non-clinical roles, with ongoing training and support to help you learn and grow.
We are ‘United in our Uniqueness’ and committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome and can be themselves, no matter their background or identity. We want our staff to feel supported and valued, and we aim to build a team that reflects the communities we serve. Together, we can make sure every voice is heard, and every difference is respected.

An interest in group interventions and developing skills in managing groups dynamics or relational processes.
