Senior Credit Controller

Role Overview:
Senior Accounts Receivable role for the ABS, and PIC business units and collaborates with the Shared Services.

EMEA Accounts Receivable Manager, in establishing and maintaining internal controls to ensure accurate, complete, efficient, and timely recording and reporting of financial transactions. This position will work closely with key stakeholders in the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintain and develop close working relationships with internal departments including Finance, Customer Service, and Field staff.
- Managing and collecting debts from company debtors.
- Aged Debtor reporting, regular reviews with an internal staff of key accounts. Agree on action plans and a monitoring program to reduce bad debt provisions.
- Elevate to Legal collection where appropriate.
- Documentation and process control of all activities in compliance with global internal controls.
- Month-end processing of Inter Company journals, Ad-hoc billings, Adjustments for FX, and small balances within agreed timelines.
- Generation of month month-end, including generation and upload of company statements and invoices to 3rd party printer.
- Preparation of Direct Debit files for submission.
- Generation of bi-monthly Dunning letters for all entities to enhance debt collections.
- Uses judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems
- Uses tact and diplomacy to exchange information and handle sensitive issues.
- Perform system testing for updates and improvements.
- Back-up for Accounts Receivable Manager EMEA on credit hold decisions.
- Networking with Global colleagues, and sharing good practices.

**Requirements**:

- Availability for travel (Occasional)
- Strong interpersonal, and communication skills
- Minimum 5 years in a Credit Control role
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
- Commitment to quality, integrity, and timeliness of financial results and deliverables
- Industry experience is somewhat flexible, but preference is for some manufacturing, distribution, biotech, agriculture, energy, or similar.
- Experience with a Global or International company is also a big plus
- Fairly fast-paced accounting area, so prefer someone who is organized, self-motivated, inquisitive, and with a continuous improvement mindset
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and efficiencies.
