Support Worker/hca

**Acting on **behalf **of our client to hire experienced support workers.**
**Performing the duties below**
- Personal care: Assisting clients with daily personal tasks, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Emotional support: Providing companionship and emotional support to help clients cope with challenges and promote mental wellbeing.
- Medication management: Ensuring clients take their prescribed medications on time and assisting with administering medication if necessary.
- Mobility assistance: Helping clients with mobility issues by supporting them during transfers and ambulation or providing equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers.
- Household tasks: Assisting with household chores like cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Communication support: Facilitating communication between clients and their families, friends, and other professionals, including translating or interpreting if needed.
- Social inclusion: Encouraging and supporting clients to participate in social and recreational activities, both within their community and at home.
- Transportation: Driving clients to appointments, social events, or other activities, or helping them access public transportation.
- Healthcare coordination: Collaborating with healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and therapists, to develop and implement care plans for clients.
- Record-keeping
**Qualifications**
- Basic First Aid at work or higher - (Passed within last 2 years)
- Care Certificate or equivalent
- Medication and Original Pack Dispensing Pass
- Moving and Positioning People (Pass within last year)
- Safeguarding and MCA/Dols (Within last year)
- Welsh Services - Day1 of All Wales Manual Handling
**Skills Required**:
- Anaphylaxis
- British Sign Language
- Medication Administration
- Epilepsy Awareness
- Managing challenging behaviours
- Moving and handling inc equipment
- PEG feeding
**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: £11.00-£14.91 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Southampton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Work Location: In person
