An exciting opportunity to join a leading, award winning, global Retail company based within West Sussex.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- 1 year fixed term contract
- Perform risk assessments
- Research new technology/proccesses/sustainable options
- Ensure design, reports and testings are recorded and archived
- Ensure components developed are both functional and aesthetically pleasing
- Carrying out technical testing
- Maintaining an excellent working relationship with Management and design teams
- Liaise with contract filler, ensuring the technical spec of components being developed allows efficient handling on delected production lines
- Support the Head of R&I packaging, including negotiations with suppliers
- Resolving any issues that arise

You will require:

- Extensive understanding off all technical processes and materials used in the production of Cosmetics & Fragrances
- Good knowledge of potential suppliers of components
- Knowledge of sustainable packaging, post consumer recylced plastics, life cycle analysis tools
- Proven creative and proactive approach
- Strong academic qualifications in engineering or related technical disciplines are an advantage but not required
- Excellent attention to detail
